I didn’t reach my 1667 word count of my camp. Fortunately, I am ahead (way ahead, I have almost 23k) and I was only 500 behind. And I have a good reason.
There was a beautiful and orange stray cat that lived both in my street and in a sort of abandoned garden of one of my neighbors. Recently she had kittens and, on the same time we saw them for the first time, what we believe was a stray dog, appeared and it killed her. The kittens are now orphans but both me and my parents thought it would be too sad to just let them try to make it on their own, which would, most likely, result on their death.
So, we took them in. We are not going to keep them, but we plan on fostering them for about two weeks before we find them suitable homes. They are adapting pretty nicely and they’re with us for just one day. The only down side is that my cat, Isis, doesn’t like them one bit. She is really jealous of the kittens and is always hissing at them. Since we don’t plan to keep them, it’s not a very big problem, but I’m sure it would be easier for them to adapt if she did like them.
